“A Rendezvous” in Pre-Production

I’m very happy to announce that the second short on the 2011 Paisley Media slate is now in pre-production.

There will be other announcements, as crew joins the film, and as positions are finalized.

Logline: Two women meet for a private rendezvous, late at night, on a quiet rooftop.

CAST (alphabetically)

Catherine Lough Haggquist: Jordan

Catherine is a Vancouver actor with a wide range of roles to her credit. (IMDB) Catherine brings incredible authenticity and a tangible approachability to every role.  Her recent credits include The Boxer and the Kid, Psych and Stargate Universe.  Catherine recently took on the position of Producer with the staging of ‘Night, Mother, the inaugural production for The Good Company Collective Equity Co-op. The production, starring Bronwen Smith, opened to rave reviews. She is also the owner and driving force behind Biz Books, an online resource for the local arts community.

Catherine Lough Haggquist brings the perfect combination of vulnerability and quiet strength to the role of Jordan.

Bronwen Smith: Margie

Bronwen Smith had a busy 2010 and I’m pleased that she can start 2011 by playing Margie. (IMDB)  Bronwen is a fixture on the local film and theatre scene, having just completed a successful run of ‘Night, Mother, with The Good Company Collective Equity Co-op. To describe her turn as Jessie in the Pulitzer Prize winning play as a tour de force would be an understatement. Bronwen’s credits also include The Boxer and The Kid, as well as Smallville, and the Paul Gross feature, Gunless.

Margie is a woman whose false bravado hides an incredibly fragile soul. She couldn’t be in better hands than Bronwen Smith’s.

Thomas Billingsley

This is Thomas Billingsley’s second project with Paisley Media. Last year he shot the music video, Pocket of Heaven, starring The Land of Deborah. Thomas is increasingly in demand these days. He has a feature film, The Wingman, in post-production and is scheduled to shoot two others in 2011.

A Vancouver based Director of Photography, Thomas Billingsley’s experience as a commercial photographer gives him a deft touch with the quiet, poignant moments in narrative dramatic productions.

The Land of Deborah

The Land of Deborah is an award-winning composer and singer/songwriter. In 2009 she won best composition at the Action On Film International Film Festival in Pasadena, as well as performed at The Egyptian Theatre as part of The Feel Good Film Festival in Los Angeles.

I couldn’t imagine collaborating with any other musician than Deborah.

Music by The Land of Deborah is licensed for film and television through Core Music Agency.

    • He’s a busy DP, because he’s so talented. I love working with him, and hope to do a number of porojects with him. Have I mentioned yet, thanks for visiting and posting. Love having you drop by.
