VIWIFF 2015 Open Call For Submissions

WIFTV Film Festival, aka, VIWIFF 2014

It’s official, the 2015 Vancouver International Women In Film Festival (VIWIFF) is now open for business with the posting of entry regulations on the Women in Film and Television Vancouver (WIFTV) website.

There is also a link for the new International Screenwriting Competition.

This is a new feature to the festival. Since VIWIFF celebrates the best of international film, it was only fitting that the screenplay competition do the same. Writers are asked to submit their first act (up to a maximum of 30 pages) with a maximum 500 word synopsis. Writers moving on to the second round will be requested to submit the entire screenplay, without any subsequent changes made to the first act.

The challenge for writers is to give producers a first act that makes them want to read more. Here’s your chance to test your first act and see if it can meet the challenge.

Check out the link for all the details.

Hope to see your work submitted for consideration for VIWIFF 2015!
