“Hey You” Screens at AOF

AOF 2014

I am very pleased to share that the music video “HEY YOU” by the Land of Deborah will screen at the 2014 Action on Film (AOF) International Film Festival at the end of the month in Monrovia, California. The song choice for our latest collaboration was a “no brainer” for Deborah and I.  Hey You is a simple, yet highly emotional song about connection, a recurring theme in both our work. It’s beautifully interpreted by dancers Kelly McInnes and Maxine Chadburn. Maxine also choreographed the piece.

This is the tenth edition of the AOF Film Festival; a festival that just seems to get bigger and better every year. If you’re looking for a festival that supports indie filmmakers, a festival that nurtures the development of its alumni and a festival that actually pays attention to the writers, then this is the one for you. I love the fact that Del and Theresa Weston haven’t just built a film festival, they’ve consciously built a film family and I feel very fortunate to be a part of it.

AOF runs from August 22nd to August 30th, 2014. If you’re in the Los Angeles area at that time, look me up. I’ll be hanging out at the Krikorian Theatre in beautiful Old Town Monrovia.

  1. Does the video happen to be online somewhere (yet)?

    • Not yet. We plan on going on line in the next month or two. Stay tuned for that announcement!
