CHAOS News: Frances Flanagan on Board

Frances Flanagan Actor/Producer

I met Frances Flanagan two years ago at the Vancouver International Women in Film Festival, and it was clear from the start that she was sharp, organized, and great with people; all the attributes of an excellent producer. There was just one hitch, she wasn’t producing… yet. She’s an actor, and a very talented one at that.

It took some time but we’ve lured her to the dark side of work behind the camera, and I could not be happier to share that CHAOS Management has added Frances Flanagan to the Production team.

Frances has been an integral part of Canada’s Film, Television and Stage scene since 1975. Her film debut was opposite Bette Davis in A Piano for Mrs. Cimino, and has performed in such well known Vancouver shot productions as The Accused, The X-Files, and Millenium.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Frances this past year on the Board of Women in Film and Television Vancouver (WIFTV), and not only does she get things done, she makes the work a heck of a lot more enjoyable, too.   Frances is the kind of person who makes the process of event organization seem simple. She prioritizes well, knows what her end goal is, and always makes it happen with what looks like very little effort.

As an actor, Frances is used to the collaborative process and focusing on the work. This is the perfect mindset to bring into a production team, and I’m thankful that she came on board. CHAOS Management couldn’t be luckier!
