Raindance Vancouver Workshop

Screenwriter's best friend.

Mark your calendars on November 28th with a little sticky note that says, “Introduction to Screenwriting Workshop, Vancouver”.  And then take a look at the Raindance Vancouver Website Information Page for more details on the event and how to register.

That’s right, I’ll be running a one day workshop in conjunction with Raindance Vancouver. It’s our first collaboration and I couldn’t be more excited.  The workshop is geared for people just starting out in screenwriting who want practical information on the structure, form, and promotion of their work. It’s an open window into the wider world of screenwriting.

What will we discuss? The four acts of the three act structure, for one. Add in sections on formatting, and such topics as the use of wrylies in spec scripts, and the differences between tag lines, log lines, synopses and treatments, and you’ve got a full day ahead of you.

If you’re an actor, novelist, crew member, or just someone interested in putting your stories out there, this workshop is for you. You’ll walk about with a better understanding of screenwriting and the tools to make your story pop more effectively off the page.

Hope to see you out on November 28th.
