Michelle-2WebMichelle Muldoon is an award-winning writer living in Vancouver, BC. Born in Scotland, and raised in Canada.

Sport defined the first stage of Michelle’s life with a passion for volleyball taking hold at eleven. She went on to play for McMaster University, and then to a successful coaching career in B.C. high school sport. Perseverance and dedication to craft comes naturally after all those years striving in sport.

Michelle won her first screenplay award for Best Drama Screenplay at the 2008 Action on Film (AOF) International Film Festival and since then, has had success at festivals across North America. In 2008 Michelle caught the film production bug with a submission to the Broad Humor Film Festival Legacy Challenge.

Michelle’s first music video collaboration with singer/songwriter The Land of Deborah (Pocket of Heaven) closed out an episode of Del Weston on Film on NBC, Channel 4, in Los Angeles (2011). Her second short film, A Rendezvous, was distributed on ShortsTV, found in the USA on Direct TV.

Michelle received the Women of Film Award at the 2009 Action on Film (AOF) International Film Festival in California, the Keith Provost Award at The Vancouver-based Cold Reading Series in 2012, and was elected to the Board of Directors of Women in Film and Television Vancouver (WIFTV) in June of 2014.

In 2018, Michelle could be seen in episode nine of the final season of the History Channel program SIX portraying Mrs Khan, the mother of SEAL team member Armin “Fishbait” Khan.

Michelle Muldoon is the creator of the Vancouver International Women in Film Festival Screenplay Competition, and teaches the Introductory Screenwriting Workshop for Raindance Vancouver.
